Alkane takes its responsibilities to local communities and the wider environment very seriously.
Alkane takes its responsibilities to local communities and the wider environment very seriously. These include not only ensuring compliance with evolving environmental legislation, but also minimising our impact on areas of ecological interest and on areas which are important to local communities.
When developing new sites Alkane works closely with Local Authorities and Community Groups to minimise the environmental impact through discussions on equipment location, wildlife conservation measures or replanting programmes.
Once in full operation the impact on local communities is kept to a minimum. The automatic nature of the generating equipment requires little traffic to site and as the generation equipment is sited either within buildings or insulated containers, noise pollution is kept to a minimum.
