Alkane follow Regulations laid down by the Environment Agency in conjunction with any planning restrictions in place for our sites.
Flexible Generation Group (FGG)
The FGG represesnts the owners of and investors in small scale, flexible power generation. This innovative group of companies owns and operates approximately 800MW of generation on the UK electrcity system.
The Coal Authority
The Coal Authority manages the effects of past coal mining including subsidence, mine water, gas surface emmissions. Alkane require the consent of The Coal Authority to drill boreholes in to abandoned mine workings. We also work closely with The Coal Authority to monitor rising mine water and its impact on Alkane's operations.
Ofgem ensure the GB electrcity wholesale and retail markets are competitive and regulate distribution and transmission networks.
UKOOG is the representative body for the UK onshore oil and gas industry including exploration and production.

The OGA work with industry and government to maximise the economic recovery of UK oil and gas.
