At the Staffordshire County Council Planning Committee meeting held on 5^th April 2012 permission was granted to “Undertake drilling works at Three Nooks Farm, to repair two existing boreholes and appraise natural gas reservoir at Land at Three Nooks Farm, Horton, Leek”.
