Alkane Energy's Operations

Alkane has a rapidly growing business generating power from both direct gas sales and electricity output. Our aim is to build, own and operate power plant ranging from 0.5MW to 10MW capacity. Our business covers coal mine methane (CMM), conventional gas and biogas. All our operations exploit our core skills in gas handling, electricity generation and the effective operation and maintenance of our sites.

Alkane's model uses standard scalable plant with modular containerised engine units. This gives us a flexible capital base which is combined with mobile maintenance engineers who use web based remote monitoring of engine performance data to maximise operating effectiveness across the engine fleet. This gives us a low operating cost and the ability to run profitable plant at 10MWs and below.
