Conventional Gas

Alkane’s heritage has given us strong skills around gas handling and electrical power generation.  Alkane is partnered with GDF Suez Energy UK to provide 10MWs of installed capacity aimed at running peak load and to provide a short term operating reserve to the national grid.  This operation is run from two sites and uses identical engines, maintenance regimes and skills to those used by our CMM plants.  It is an example of Alkane Energy using flexible plant, low cost O&M and our core skills to expand our activities.
